What’s the Plot of Solitaire Alice Oseman?
Solitaire follows the story of a sixteen-year-old young girl who is in 12 grade. Despite family issues, mental issues, and school issues (the rise of a local prankster group in her school), Tori creates various platonic or romantic relationships.
The prankster group in the school becomes chaotic and tricky. Tori suspects this dangerous group and starts an investigation with his senior Michael Horden. Michael Horden is eighteen years old and studies in 13 grade at the same high school.
Michael and Tori begrudgingly start the investigation due to differences in perspectives. However, both become friends and come to understand each other after experiencing life while investigating pranksters.

Solitaire is a narration of a disaffected girl searching for some kind of truth. Tori is the uncanny representation of a distraught teenager who relies on their intelligence I get things done. The young girl can never finish a movie in a setting, doesn’t like her friends but can’t let them go as well, and never pays attention in class.
Tori only cares about her brother Charlie Spring who is suffering from an eating disorder. Everything else in the world sucks to her and she usually loves to remain her muddled head. A new boy Michael Holden comes to her school and tries to befriend her. Her old friend Lucas also joined the classes.
At the same time, the prankster group starts to play pranks on the kids. However, their pranks start hurting the students. The uninterested Tori thinks if there’s anything good in the world. Even though Tori wants to avoid messing up her life more by investigating the pranksters.
The reader must think about why Lucas and Michael like Tori. Characters like Charlie and Michael make the readers feel sympathetic and fall for them.
